About This Event
The Friends of the American Museum & Gardens invite you to celebrate our 65th anniversary with longtime supporter, Kaffe Fassett. The friendship between Kaffe and Dallas Pratt, co-founder with John Judkyn of the American Museum in Britain, as it was originally known, began in 1964. Kaffe’s support over these many years includes his early pen and ink drawings, featured in one of the first publications highlighting the extraordinary period rooms of the American Museum, as well as several stunning exhibitions of his quilts.
This year’s 65th Anniversary Lecture with Kaffe will inspire and motivate with a presentation highlighting work from his latest projects and collaborations, including his patchwork, fabric, needlepoint, mosaics, painting, and knitting designs. Kaffe will talk about his newest book, Quilts at an English Manor House and his involvement with the American Museum & Gardens over the past six decades.
